I figured we should have a picture of Ryan on the blog — and here he is, looking quite dapper! This was taken at Myra and Jordan’s wedding, about three hours after Ryan fainted. Yes, he fainted: just before Myra and Jordan said their vows. We’ll have to flank him with fainter-catchers in March.

Wow. Was there a collective gasp like there was when Andy Setka fainted in church? Did he turn gray? Did Myra and Jordan take it as a sign and call the whole thing off?

He fainted into a table set with glasses for the reception — so a big crash masked the sound of any gasping. We had general confusion for a few moments — several people didn’t understand what had happened — until the groom’s mother stood up and asked (someone had to say it): is there a doctor here? Then Ryan sat down for the remainder of the ceremony and it went forward without another hitch.

I tried to wait for the part where the dude says “Does anybody see any reason why these two blah blah blah” but he never got to it, so I had to do something.

There’s a huge lesson in staying fed and watered. Jordan and Myra will love telling that story a few years from now.
Ryan, I love that I am automatically set to leave a reply. No fussing with “is this my password?”
