A New Problem | November 15th, 2005
To Emily, Amye, Sarah and maybe Abby, Jessica and Ryan:
What does it mean when your sewing machine just hums and the needle doesn’t move?
Thanks.

It could be the wheel on the right is not engaged/tightened. It could be the dust devils inside have choked up the gears. JK It could be, oh I don’t know . . , but I’d love to check it out. Bring it with you on T-weekend if it’s still a prob.

I know I’m not a Godfrey, so I may not be allowed to post here, but your blog is amazing! It’s so nice to see united in cyberspace. Has Dennis posted yet?

Eliza, you are a Godfrey in spirit! Few people know more than you the inside and outside of this bunch. You’ve seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. And since I helped your mom raise you, there’s a familial tie that will never die! How could we forget you and Abby dancing on the bed, the dramatic presentations, making movies and laughing hysterically, driving through fast food lanes looking for your latest crush, irritating Neil with your music and piano playing, the road trips to Idaho and San Diego, the mother/daughter trip to British Columbia, your crush on Joe Miller, getting a tan by the pool, shopping and movies, and so, so much more. I love remembering the fun times with Abby Grace and Eliza Jane!

Diana – what are you making? And how long have you been on the sewing bandwagon? Way to go! I only knew about that quilt you made was it last Christmas? Mom had some good thoughts on what the machine’s dilemma might be. Have you ever taken it in for a checkup? It would be lifechanging…for the machine, I mean.
