The last time, I sat out a snowstorm in a McDonald's inside a Wal*Mart in Nova Scotia, probably more than doubling the total amount of time I'd been in Wal*Marts. There was me and about five wal*martians in the entire retail-industrial complex. They were very nice to me, but it could just have been their Canadianicity. I’m not sure I’ve been in Walmart five times in my life. I have to say, I don't like that store either, but I do go occasionally. Sam's club is a different story. They have really good and cheap croissants, for example. Better than some i've had in Paris.
