1849 - Denmark becomes a constitutional monarchy by the signing of a new constitution.
1866 - Calculations indicate Pluto reached its most recent aphelion (furthest point from Sun) on this day. The next aphelion will occur in August 2113.
1907 - Swaminarayan religion established.
1947 - Marshall Plan: At a speech at Harvard University, United States Secretary of State George Marshall calls for economic aid to war-torn Europe. Also, Dennis Godfrey is born. Happy birthday Dad!
