Tom Viviano’s son Frank, I have just discovered, wrote the lead story in the January National Geographic. It’s a well-written “Who’s Winning in Iraq”. I can hear Tom now as he puffs on his cigar, saying how proud he is of his sons. And rightfully so.

No, that was Sam, who is now Mad’s art director.

If you google Frank Viviano, you’ll see his writings. “Blood Washes Blood” looks very interesting. Tom’s family came from Sicily and had a history in the Mafia.
