I certainly enjoyed spending time with the family this past week. I missed Ryan and Jessica, but am happy they were with Jessica’s family. Abby and Jamie’s gift to us was amazing! They spent the better part of 4 days stripping, sanding and repainting our sad kitchen cabinets. They are now a lovely antique white with black metal knobs and black hinges, and they’re beautiful! It was a labor of love for them and we are very, very grateful. While they were anxiously engaged, I had the enormous pleasure to hold and play with Milo. The poor fellow has been sick, so he needed a lot of attention, which I was happy to give. Photos will come of the new kitchen. I’m very sad now that everyone has gone home.
Here’s Ryan on Christmas day being overrun: you can see Angela in the back, making a flying leap onto his back from the couch; Wyatt is the little one in red running toward him; and Meriwether is clinging to his front. Ryan’s a kid-magnet!

Diana and I are doing a midnight tutorial on uploading photos. I’ll need a dozen more lessons.

Rough goin’ for Utah folk tonight! Abby, Jamie and Milo have spent a wintery day on the road, but should be here soon. Hey, this is fun!
We are so glad to live in desert country — check out the weekend forecast for Provo!
Lest this blog fade into oblivion, I shall take this opportunity to congratulate Ryan on his new job. See his celebratory dance here.
