I hope you had a wonderful birthday. You do so much to brighten the lives of your husband, all your children, their spouses, your grandchildren, your many friends and your students. The Emily and Stephen Craig contingency would like to thank you for being a fantastic, super, A+ grandmother and mother. You are appreciated, adored, needed and loved! (Freshman girls don’t know what they are talking about.) Happy birthday! May you have 58 more.
It was wonderful to have most of the family together to celebrate birthdays yesterday. You are a much loved member of this family. Happy Birthday! The pannini sandwiches were delicious, Neil!
For Easter, Owen got a new haircut, and chicken pox (a reaction to the vaccine he got 3 days earlier). We left church early when the Dr. in our ward confirmed the disease. It looked like nasty bug bites to us, especially since he had a nasty spider bite earlier in the week. Abby, it should all be cleared up by the time you get here.
On Monday, June 18th, the day after our Mayhico trip, Steve and I are hoping to see the Police play at US Airways Center. Does anyone want to go with us? We are hoping to buy overpriced tickets from online scalpers. They start around $50.
I would like to read your published book of poetry. I’m sure others in the family concur. May we? Where can we purchase a copy?
Your adoring sister-in-law
A long car trip is the perfect time to play Tetris on a Game Boy. In fact, the boys and I all shared the thing on the way home. Alas, I played a few games too many, and now have a burning case of bursitis (or arthritis?) in my right thumb. That’s rather embarrasing. Thanks for the fun trip, Emily and Steve!
It was wonderful to: spend a week with Elliot, Aaron, Isaac, and Norah, have Grandma and Grandpa M. get acquainted with them, see many other relatives, spend time with Abby, Jamie, and Milo, and wake up to a beautiful snowfall.
Not very many kids could happily handle a 2,000 mile road trip like these little troopers!
I missed posting in March, so I’ll write now what I would have said then. The boys brought home great report cards and Elliot, especially, has shown a lot of growth in the classroom. This kid used to have much trouble staying on task and finishing his assignments in class. He was not at all motivated to pick up a book and read when he had free time. Now, wha-la, see what his teacher had to say:
“Elliot is a wonderful student. He is a strong student academically and socially. Elliot sets a good example for his peers. He is always working hard and staying on task. Elliot has improved his AR reading in class. I am proud to see him engaged with books when he finishes assignments. I appreciate Elliot’s kind heart and his desire to excel! Keep up the good work!”
It brings a little tear to my eye.
